What you should do NOW

Microchip Your Pet

All residents of Albuquerque are required by law to have their pets microchipped.

Keep Your Pet Up-To-Date On Vaccinations

Every time your pet gets a rabies vaccination, you recieve a new tag.  It is also important

that your pet be protected by certain diseases, especially when if it becomes lost.

Register You Pet With The City

Different cities have different laws for pets.  Find out what they are in

your area, and register your pet so that they recieve a city license and a city tag.

Make Sure Your Pet Wears A Collar

Always leave your pet's collar on them.  You never know when they

become lost, whether they slip through the door or jump the fence.

Check Your Yard and Gates

It is always wise to be sure that your back yard is secure and there

are no ways that your pet can slip through the fence or gate.

Ventana Animal Clinic thanks anyone

who has taken on the task of rescuing

someone's pet off the street and worked

to finding the owners.
